Method 1 > Basic Risk Mapping

🛈Complete you Farm Risk Map by Printing this Document. 👇

🛈Complete by:

  • Drawing your Farm Risk Map by Indicating National, Regional, Secondary, Main Roads, Houses, Buildings, Structures, Landmarks OR print Google Maps/Google Earth Map to Draw on.
  • Then Indicate North(Direction)
  • Indicated Dominating Wind Direction
  • Identify Risks and Vulnerabilities
  • Mark your Mitigation Measures: Firebreaks, Block Burn, Cutting of Grass, Grading of Road, etc.

🛈After Completion:

  • Scan the Document Using a Normal Scanner OR using Adobe Scan -app from Phone.
  • Insert all of the Photos OR PDF-Documents in a Folder.
  • Compress that Folder.
  • Rename that Zip Folder to: “BernardHabig-FarmRiskMap-2024” -> Name & Surname with FarmRiskMap with the Current Year.
  • Then Go to Document Submission which is under Member Area; and Upload your Zip Folder.

Method 2 > Map Marker – Online Risk Mapping

Method 2 requires a Below average Computer-Capable Person for Completion:

🛈Before we Start:

  • Allow Location Services to go to Your Current Location:
  • 👇ENABLE ZOOM -> Settings -> Enable Zoom Buttons
  • If you are using a phone, rather click on this Link to go to Map Marker: https://www.mapmarker.app/webapp/

🛈Make Pins:

  • Indicate: Social, Econimical or Enviromental vulnerabilities.
  • Indicate RISKS: PowerTransformers, Dumping Sites, Taxi Stands, etc.

🛈Indicate:

  • Indicate RISKS: Powerlines, Railway Lines, National, Regional Roads
  • Firebreaks as Orange

🛈Exporting & Submitting to NE FS FPA:

STEP 1:

Click on the 📤Icon

STEP 2:

Click on “All markers and folders”

STEP 3:

Choose KML

STEP 4:

Save on your Computer or Phone

STEP 5:

Upload at Document Submission under Member Area on NEFSFPA.co.za

Make sure you have renamed the File Correctly as Indicated.
